The pattern that recurred across those domains — boards depending on reporting they could not independently test — is what ZSF was built to support.

The origin

ZSF exists because independent diagnostic intelligence should be accessible to the engagements where it matters, not only to those where Big Four assurance is proportionate.

The observation that made the product possible was consistent across sectors and scales. Boards direct programs. Programs report to boards. The reporting is written by the people running the program. The board draws on the reporting to direct. The independent check between the reporting and the decision is where good governance sits.

ZSF is that independent check, delivered in a form the board can direct from.

Where the product sits today

ZSF is engaged with real programs and real sponsors. The diagnostic is delivered to Boards, Sponsors, and steering committees exploring how independent diagnostic intelligence supports their governance work. Practice Operators — senior practitioners who deploy ZSF on their own client engagements — extend the reach of the discipline.

The engagement model is relationship-based. Sponsors, Boards, and senior consultants who are exploring whether ZSF is right for their situation are invited to reach out directly.
